Post as it happens
Free, independent journalism allows the public to make informed decisions, hold leaders accountable and hear diverse opinions — all free of government influence.
In much of the world, journalism faces threats on multiple fronts, especially independent journalism. Authoritarian governments actively try to silence critical journalists, even in strongholds of democracy. Online news aggregators have pinched the income of journalists and news outlets such that they may no longer be financially viable. And new, creative approaches, like using the legal system, are being employed to shut down investigative reporting.
Social News Network aims to solve the challenge by providing the SNN technology for aspiring journalists and creators to create news independently of any influence. The goal is to use a content view reward program to ensure that the contents continue to be free of influence and spam. Creators will own and be responsible for the facts reported, including in parts fee per click advertisements ran on their news content.
